So, our comic was late this week.

I wish I could say that Brian and I were playing Rock Band instead of
working on the Beatles comic (that would have been poetic) but
instead, I was sick with the Consars (Also known as PAX Pox, PAX1N1,
etc) and Brian was asleep at his computer. Seriously, he mails me on
Wednesday morning with:

“Hi, uh, fell asleep on my computer, lost all the work on today’s
strip, starting over this afternoon.”

Perfect timing, since of course last week I went to PAX and handed out
flyers for this comic to everyone I met, then got into discussion
after discussion about how Web comics fail because they aren’t
regularly updated. Haw, haw, haw.

So, welcome new readers, and witness our chagrin at posting
Wednesday’s strip on Thursday morning. We will never let you down
again. (Right Brian? Wake up Brian?)

I now return to coughing, wheezing, bouncing checks, and attempting to
five-star the Ed Sullivan show.

No comic due to illness!

Comic Readers:

Sadly, Brian’s entire family has been sick with yon Swine Flu, and
hence the delights that we had in store for your holiday weekend will
have to be late. Super late. Like, a whole week probably.

It seems as though an online comic cannot function without both its
writer and its artist. Who knew.

In case you are wondering, we all had a fine Thanksgiving except for
the pox. We wish you the best holidays imaginable, and promise to
return when the family is well again.
